HUI-SNL App & Web Portal

Statiegeld Nederland, a division of Verpact, wanted to expand their network of collection points with ViaTim, an organization in the Netherlands with a network of parcel delivery points. Following a successful pilot in 2025, residents can now return their bottles and cans in their own neighbourhood at more than 250 ViaTim locations.

The locations work with an app to scan the deposit items and refund the deposit via a Tikkie QR. This means that more easily accessible return points are becoming available in many residential areas, making deposit returns more convenient. The collected bottles and cans are stored in leak-proof, reusable bags that, once full, are collected by parcel carriers in the area and transferred to a central location where they are processed.

Mindhash contributed to this project by developing the app and self care portal needed to provide this service. The app and the self care portal combined allow for easy management and large scale deployments. The self care portal provides insight into overall usage, the number of deposits processed, traceability for all items, fraud prevention and the ability to manage individual service points. The app allows operators at ViaTim service points to scan and collect deposit items and generate digital cashback Tikkies, which can easily be redeemed by customers to receive the value of their deposit (with or without a Tikkie account).
